Swacchata Ka Gullak

Working in the spirit of ‘Swacchata Hi Seva’, this campaign introduces children to the idea of segregation of waste into dry, wet and recyclable waste.

Millions of kids do not wash their hands in school because they do not have access to soaps.

Carrying forward the idea of waste segregation, Savlon used the term ‘Gullak’ to introduce the idea of ‘Saving’ and recycling plastic and other types of waste. This initiative further educated children about the importance of waste segregation.

Objective

Objective

With the aim of introducing waste segregation to kids, Savlon planned to mobilise the spirit of ‘Swacchata Hi Seva’ to organise waste collection drives in school to highlight the importance of waste management.

This is how Savlon does it

Taking this initiative ahead, Savlon aimed to cover more than 500 schools across Mumbai, Delhi, and Kolkata. In addition to educating the children about proper waste segregation, Savlon planned to place a ‘Gullak’ plastic waste collection unit in schools. The brand further planned to encourage children to participate in this through the Swacchata Ka Competition.
